Using MeraLearn

MeraLearn is free while it is being built. Games and features will change as that happens. If it ever stops being free, teachers will be told well before anything changes for them.

If you are a teacher

• You are responsible for the students you add or let join your classes and games, and for the content you upload.
• Enter only what you need to tell students apart, and follow your school's rules on student information.
• Uploads are public. Only upload what you have the right to share, and never photos that identify students.
• Keep your password to yourself.

If you are a student

• Your code is yours. Do not share it, and do not play as somebody else.
• An account is optional. With one, keep your password to yourself, and add only your own code to it.
• Play fair. Do not try to break the games, change your score, or slow the service down for everyone else.

Your content

The units, terms and files you create stay yours. By adding them you let MeraLearn store them and show them to your students so the games can run.

A unit is private unless you share it. When you share a unit with another teacher, give them its link, or make it public in the library, you let those teachers see it and copy it into their own units, where they can change it and use it with their students. Their copy credits you as its author and stays theirs, even if you later stop sharing or delete yours. Your students and their results are never shared.

Share only what you made or have the right to share. MeraLearn can hide a shared unit that is reported, or that breaks these terms.

Availability

MeraLearn is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and to fix problems quickly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, so keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Stopping

You can stop using MeraLearn at any time and ask for your data to be deleted; see Privacy. Access that is being misused may be suspended.
